This Privacy Policy describes how Bestie (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated via girllogic.app, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Bestie mobile application (“the App”). By using Bestie, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
Bestie is operated by the owner of girllogic.app, based in Victoria, Australia. For privacy enquiries, contact us at admin@athanor.com.au.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide (such as your age/generation, display name).
- App usage data: Your questions submitted to the AI (“asks”), AI responses, and your interaction history within the App.
- Photos: If you choose to attach a photo to a question, that image is processed to generate a response. Photos are not stored beyond the immediate request unless you explicitly save the response.
- Device information: Basic device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
- Subscription and payment data: Subscription status is managed via RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details — these are handled directly by the relevant app store (Google Play or Apple App Store).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the Bestie service, including generating AI responses to your questions
- Manage your account and subscription
- Enforce usage limits on the free tier
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal questions or history to train AI models. Your content is yours.
4. AI Processing
Bestie uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate responses. Your questions (and any photos you attach) are transmitted to Anthropic’s servers for processing. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs their handling of this data and can be found at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not share your name, email, or account details with Anthropic — only the content of your query is transmitted.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase – database and authentication (servers may be located outside Australia)
- Anthropic – AI response generation (United States)
- RevenueCat – subscription management (United States)
- Google Play / Apple App Store – app distribution and payment processing
- Amazon Associates – affiliate programme (United States, see below)
Where these services are located outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
5a. Affiliate Links and Tracking
Bestie participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate programme. When our AI detects a shopping-related query, the App may display a product suggestion containing an affiliate link to Amazon.
If you tap an affiliate link, you will be directed to Amazon’s website or app. At that point, Amazon may set cookies or use other tracking technologies on your device in accordance with their own privacy policy. We have no control over Amazon’s data practices once you leave the App.
We may earn a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking an affiliate link. This comes at no additional cost to you and does not influence the AI’s responses — affiliate links are only shown after a response is generated, never as part of the advice itself.
You are under no obligation to click any affiliate link. You can use Bestie fully without ever interacting with affiliate content.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and ask history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing admin@athanor.com.au.

Bestie is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Object to certain uses of your data

9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure credential storage, and server-side enforcement of access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
