Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully before using Bestie. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Bestie is designed to be enthusiastic, supportive, and entertaining — not accurate, cautious, or responsible. Bestie will hype almost any decision you put in front of it. That is a feature, not a bug.
If you ask Bestie whether you should quit your job, buy a Bentley on a minimum wage salary, text your ex, or invest your savings in crypto — Bestie may well say yes. With enthusiasm. This is humour and emotional entertainment, not guidance you should act on.
Nothing Bestie says is financial, legal, medical, psychological, relationship, or professional advice of any kind. For anything that actually matters, please talk to a real human professional.
1. About Bestie
Bestie is an AI-powered advice app operated via girllogic.app (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Victoria, Australia. The App provides fun, informal, AI-generated responses to your questions (“asks”). Bestie is entertainment and general guidance only — it is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bestie. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the App.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@athanor.com.au.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Bestie offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.
- Free tier: Limited to 5 asks per day. No payment required.
- Pro subscription: Unlimited asks and access to all Pro features, billed monthly or annually as displayed at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are managed through the relevant app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) and are subject to their billing terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Bestie to:
- Submit content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the App or its AI systems
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Submit content involving minors in a sexual context
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or subscription enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.
6. AI-Generated Content — Entertainment Only, Not Advice
This section is important. Please read it.
Bestie is an entertainment app. It is designed to be fun, warm, and enthusiastic. Its AI is deliberately built to hype, encourage, and support — not to critically assess your financial situation, evaluate legal risk, diagnose health conditions, or provide any form of professional guidance.
Bestie will often tell you what you want to hear. If you ask whether you should make a large purchase you cannot afford, quit your job without a plan, or make a significant life decision — Bestie may respond positively and with encouragement. This is by design. It is humour and emotional entertainment. It is not a considered opinion. It is not based on your actual circumstances. It should not be relied upon.
Responses generated by Bestie do not constitute, and must never be treated as:
- Financial advice, investment advice, or guidance on any financial product
- Legal advice or a legal opinion of any kind
- Medical, health, psychological, or mental health advice
- Relationship counselling or therapeutic support
- Career, business, or professional advice
- A substitute for qualified human judgment in any domain
We expressly disclaim all liability for any decision you make, action you take, or outcome you experience based on anything Bestie says. You use the App and act on its responses entirely at your own risk.
For anything that actually matters — money, health, law, relationships — please speak to a qualified professional.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of the questions and photos you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content for the purpose of generating your AI response. We do not use your content to train AI models.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, passwords, or government ID numbers) through the App.
7a. Affiliate Links
Bestie participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate programme. When the App detects a shopping-related question, it may display a product suggestion with an affiliate link after your response is generated.
What this means for you:
- Affiliate links are displayed separately from AI responses — they do not influence what Bestie says
- If you click a link and make a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you
- Clicking affiliate links is entirely optional — you can ignore them completely
- When you click an affiliate link, you leave the App and are subject to Amazon’s terms and privacy policy
We disclose this in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and Amazon Associates programme policies.
8. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including the Bestie name, girllogic.app branding, design, and underlying technology — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reliance on AI-generated advice.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless girllogic.app and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at admin@athanor.com.au.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
14. Consumer Rights (Australia)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Where the law implies a guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (to the extent permitted) to resupply of the service or payment of the cost of resupply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
